the first time...
....woah, chill out. i'm talking about the first time he said i love you.....
November 26, 2011, josh's birthday.
josh, me, his sister lindsay, and her date.
we went to salt lake to see the lights on temple square.
as we were walking around temple square, we got to the place where everyone takes that picture when they get married and i joked with josh that we should take a picture and then he should pretend to propose to give everyone on temple square a great show! i think it would have been hilarious, but josh kept saying how he wanted to propose one time! that's when i knew that he could be the one...
after walking around temple square we walked around downtown salt lake and ended up getting some hot chocolate somewhere. lindsay and her date were talking as josh and i walked a little bit away from them. josh started to look anxious and upset so i asked him what was wrong.
"i just.....i have something to say...but i don't know if i should say it....because...there's only one way to say it........."
holy cow. let me tell you- my heart freaking stopped and i just wanted to scream and jump up and down and hug him and tell him "i love you too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" but all i could do was say...
"i know exactly how you feel."
about a week later, josh and i had stayed out late and because it was a holiday i was staying at my parents house. my curfew was something retarded like 12 and it was probably around 12:45 so i was eager to get inside so i wouldn't get yelled at! haha!
as we hugged...for a long time...and kissed goodnight, i knew i never wanted to leave his side!
i gave him one last kiss and turned to go inside. he stood there watching me and when i was about 25 feet away......he yells...........
"I LOVE YOOOOOOOOUUUU!!"
naturally, i say, "LOVE YOU, TOOOOO!" back, but mine was a little more hesitant because i was thinking...............okay, i'll be honest, i wasn't thinking about much because i was stunned at what just happened.
don't worry. i gave him crap for it.
but today, looking back, it's one of my favorite memories.
i love my josh.
